Rivers receding in Calgary, 3 dead in floods The two rivers that converge on the western Canadian city of Calgary are starting to recede after floods devastated much of southern Alberta province, causing at least three deaths and forcing thousands to evacuate. The flooding forced authorities to evacuate Calgary's entire downtown and hit some of the city's iconic structures hard. http://hosted2.ap.org/APDEFAULT/3d281c11a96b4ad082fe88aa0db04305/Article_2013-06-22-CN-Canada-Alberta-Flooding/id-421fc7dc89134dd3bc3eb33dcef4d63e The Caucus: Like His Successor, Bush Is Going to Africa As President Obama travels across the continent next week, so will his predecessor, George W. 3 dead, downtown Calgary off-limits, more flooding possible in western Canada At least three people were killed by floodwaters that devastated much of southern Alberta, leading authorities to evacuate the western Canadian city of Calgary's entire downtown. Inside the city's hockey arena, the waters reached as high as the 10th row. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper called the level of flooding "stunning" and said officials don't know yet if it will get worse, but said the water has peaked and stabilized and noted that the weather has improved. http://feeds.nbcnews.com/c/35002/f/653378/s/2da4e854/l/0Lworldnews0Bnbcnews0N0C0Inews0C20A130C0A60C220C190A888610E30Edead0Edowntown0Ecalgary0Eoff0Elimits0Emore0Eflooding0Epossible0Ein0Ewestern0Ecanada0Dlite/story01.htm Ex-Enron CEO Skilling rese...

CALGARY, CANADA — Two teenage boys have died after breaking into Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada, in the middle of the night. The boys, twins Jordan and Evan Caldwell, rode their own toboggan onto the bobsled track and crashed. The twins were pronounced dead on the scene, while six other teens were injured in the incident. “It’s believed at least eight teenagers, all males, entered the property after hours and used a personal sled or toboggan in an attempt to go down the bobsled track,” Sgt Paul Wyatt told Canada’s CBC news “Part way down, the group hit a large gate used to separate the bobsled and luge track.” Police say the boys hopped on a toboggan and went for a ride on the high-speed run, but on the way down crashed into a gate separating the bobsled and luge tracks. This is my first attempt to create a travel video collection over at qwickguides.webs.com. Calgary was shot during a long weekend in Nov. 2009, while visiting my brother. The sound and video got a little wonky, but overall I'm pretty happy. Enjoy, and happy travels!
Alberta is a famous destination for vanlifers in the summer. It was my first time cruising around the province and I wanted to see more then just the Rockies. My friend Renaud has been a fishing guide for the past six years around Banff and offered to take me to his favorite spots in this area. While I was waiting for him to be done with his fishing trip, I went to other less popular parts of the province. This video’s title was supposed to be “Bow River Nymphing”. However, as we floated the Bow River with David Blair (owner of Fish Tales Fly Shop in Calgary, Alberta) & Terry Johnson (Head Guide at the shop) “38 Minutes” came as a result of Terry being incredibly economical with his instruction and demonstration. From the time we cracked the camera and drone cases to shoot Terry showing & discussing his Bow River nymphing set-up, through to demonstrating how and where to fish the nymphing rig (all completed with on-stream discussion/demonstration while landing three nice rainbow trout) the total time was 38 minutes. When you travel to fly fish, you always hope to meet a guide such as Terry – someone who is clear and concise with tactics that work. This is a great video to help you unders...
The Hundred Year Road follows Ray Fowler and Pat McKenna on their journey as they recreate the trip from Calgary to Edmonton using Alberta’s first published road guide from 1914 as their reference. They travel in 100 year old vehicles, camping out and using only technology from the time period as they deal with rough roads, bad weather and the trials and tribulations of driving in their living museum pieces Calgary to Edmonton; In 2014 it’s a totally routine trip that thousands of people make every day. They climb into comfortable, reliable cars and take off at 110 kilometres an hour with the stereo blasting and about 3 hours later they reach their destination. But just for a moment, try to imagine that same journey one hundred years ago. Cars, or the horseless carriage as they were c...

http://www.theprofitexperts.co.uk, http://www.losspreventionvideos.com, Romeo Richards, Where do you think the majority of the people who shoplift from your store live? Answer: About 5 to 7 miles radius from your store. Where do many of your employees live? Answer: About 5 to 7 miles radius from your store. If your employee and shoplifters live in the same community, eat in the same restaurant, swim in the same pool and play football together, can you really trust all of your employees? The majority of retail employees are decent people who go to work each day to serve their customers and make their living. However, there are the rotten apples that contaminate the good names of the rest. The reality is employee theft is part of the dynamics of any business. It is especially rampant in the ...
Considering Banff National Park is one of the world's most visited, it might seem obvious that most tourists would skip right past the former coal-mining town of Canmore, located right outside the park. But this is not the case. Ever since the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, of which Nordic events were held around Canmore, the town has been maintaining a name for itself as an individual destination. Beyond being a place where Olympians still train, Canmore offers travelers opportunities for winter recreation. And although there is plenty to do outside around Canmore year round, winter is my favorite season to visit. Not only does it come with fewer crowds, seeing snow covered Rockies in all their glory is breathtaking. In this video, we will show you some of the top winter experiences yo...
